Text interface:Was the first kind of application on computers where you could type text. In order to save this text you would have to type in the command line without any mistakes.
Text and menus:The basic text later evoled into having arrows on the keyboard in order to move around the screen better. You no longer had to type in the command line, so life was alot easier.
Graphical:After the arrows on keyboards the OS then made a change. There were now icons, buttons and even windows in which to open multiple applications at one time.
1: Word processing:Ahhh, word processing. The most used application of all time. These applications were created to replace typewriters so that you could revise them and edit them all before you go on to printing.
2: Desktop publishing:Does what scissors and glue do. Puts together text and graphics together and prepares them for printing.
3: Spredsheet:Spredsheets are widly use for budgets, financial statements, grade sheets and sales records. A spredsheet can perform simple or complex calculations on the numbers you enter in rows and columns.
4: Database:A database is a collection of data that you want to manage, rearrange and add to later. Its a good program to use to manage liststhat are not entirely numbers, such as street addresses and phone numbers, inventories and membership rosters
5: Graphics:Graphics programs deal with pictures, either static, flat moving or 3d. There are an amazing number of different formats for images in the world and no one program can handle them all.
6:Presentations:A presentation program links together a sequence of slides containing text or graphics. Slide shows can be used for sales, school, training. Etc.
7: Communications:These programs can temporarily connect to another computer and share information.
8: Browser:An internet browser is a very common program that allows users to navigate the world wide web(your using one write now).
9: Web pagesWeb pages are documents that are connected to the internet and can be viewed by anyone with a web browser and the internet. ( your using one to view this page right now)
